Our story
New AI tools appear all the time. Next month, your colleague will be using a tool that doesn't exist yet. Try to keep up with bans and you'll always be too late.
People who understand why have no trouble keeping up. Anyone who knows what counts as sensitive data makes the right call in every tool, including next month's.
Training lays the foundation. We help people apply it while they work: a highlight in your text, right where it matters. What you do with it is your choice, within your organisation's rules.
Deciding which tools your organisation allows still matters. That's what the catalogue is for: more than 1,000 AI tools, each with a risk assessment, continuously curated. Anyone who opens a tool the organisation doesn't allow sees a notice with the alternative it has chosen.

Thijs has worked in SaaS his whole career and previously built an app for GDPR work. His background is in user experience. He believes privacy and AI can be made understandable, and that they have to be, because behaviour only changes when people understand why.
At BeeSensible he makes sure of one thing: every screen and every highlight builds awareness, not frustration.

Rens has guided organisations through AI programmes and taught teams to work with AI. He knows where good intentions come unstuck: in everyday work, on a busy day.
At BeeSensible he talks every day with privacy officers, IT managers and employees who want to do their jobs well. His yardstick: people who work with BeeSensible should find it genuinely helpful.
We've worked together for years and complement each other: one of us lives in the product, the other with customers. Before BeeSensible, we founded Gemeentepeiler, software in use at more than 20 Dutch municipalities. That's where we learned how to build software people actually use, and how much trust matters when you work with sensitive data. What we share is the belief that AI can change work for the better, if you handle it wisely. Sensible, in other words.
Our principles
Principles only count if you can point to them, so each one comes with an example from the product.
People who see what's in their text make better choices than people who read about a ban afterwards. So we highlight sensitive data when it matters, and the organisation decides how much happens automatically after that.

Ingrid pastes a customer email into ChatGPT. The account number is highlighted before she hits send. She decides: mask, remove or leave it.
We build for sensitive data, so we store as little of it as possible. No text, no individual employees, only patterns.

The dashboard shows how often each type of data was highlighted, per application. Who typed it is not recorded anywhere.
Privacy and AI are full of jargon. That's why everything you see has to be clear at a glance. If a screen needs a manual, the design isn't finished.

Behaviour only changes when people get something out of it. So we build for the people doing the work first, and for the dashboard second.

Handling AI wisely isn't a product you install. It's a change you go through together. So we work with partners who help organisations get there: implementation partners, trainers and advisers on privacy and AI policy. They know the organisations; we build the product.
We also draw on a network of specialists in software development, privacy and cybersecurity. They keep us sharp and help us move fast. We test every choice, in the product and in the company, with people who know their field.
