1. Definitions
- BeeSensible: The provider of the Service (Venturo Media B.V.), located at Spijksedijk 1a, 6917 AD Spijk, reachable at trust@beesensible.eu.
- Service: The free version of the software and functionalities offered by BeeSensible, including the browser extension for Chrome and Edge and the related web interface.
- User: The natural person who creates an Account and uses the Service.
- Account: The personal access that the User creates to use the Service.
- Personal Data: Any information by which a natural person can be directly or indirectly identified.
2. Applicability and Agreement
These terms apply exclusively to the free version of the Service. By creating an Account or installing the extension, the User agrees to these terms. If the User does not agree, they should not use the Service and should delete their Account.
3. Account and Use of the Service
3.1. To use the Service, the User must create an Account with accurate and current information. The Account is strictly personal and login credentials may not be shared with others.
3.2. BeeSensible may change, limit, or terminate the functionality of the free Service at any time and without prior notice.
4. How the Service Works
4.1. The extension activates in supported web applications and highlights potentially sensitive information in text fields while the User types.
4.2. When text is entered in a supported application, the extension sends it to BeeSensible's own infrastructure inside the EU for analysis. The text is processed in working memory and discarded immediately. It is not written to disk, not stored in any database, and not retained in any form after the analysis completes.
4.3. The detection result returns to the extension, which displays highlights in the page. The User decides what to do with each highlight: remove the sensitive information, replace it with an alternative, or leave it unchanged. The Service never modifies text on its own and never blocks sending.
4.4. The detection model is hosted by BeeSensible on EU infrastructure. No external AI services are called. Text is not sent to any third-party AI system.
5. Accuracy and the User's Responsibility
5.1. The Service is a supporting tool. The User retains full control and responsibility for deciding what information is shared, removed, or replaced.
5.2. The detection may produce false positives (harmless information flagged) or false negatives (sensitive information not flagged). The User should make their own assessment and not rely solely on the Service's output.
5.3. BeeSensible strives for high accuracy and is committed to responsible development. The Service will not implement functionalities that conflict with fundamental rights.
6. Permitted Use and Restrictions
6.1. The User may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6.2. The User may not:
- Use the Service for illegal or unlawful purposes
- Circumvent, test, or attempt to reverse-engineer the detection model or security controls
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful software through the Service
- Use the Service in a way that causes damage to BeeSensible or other users
- Monitor or surveil others without their knowledge or consent
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights to the Service, including the software, logos, and detection model, belong exclusively to BeeSensible. The User receives a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these terms. BeeSensible does not claim ownership of any content the User enters via the Service.
8. No Guarantees
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. BeeSensible gives no guarantee, explicit or implicit, with regard to the Service. BeeSensible does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of errors.
If detection is unavailable due to a technical issue, the extension cannot prevent sending. The User will see a clear message that detection is not working and must acknowledge it before continuing.
9. Privacy and Personal Data
BeeSensible processes the User's account and contact information to provide the Service. The Privacy Policy explains how this data is handled.
The text the User types is processed in working memory on BeeSensible's EU infrastructure and discarded immediately. It is not stored. Detection metadata (category counts, application, action taken, timestamp) is retained for at most 24 months, rolling. Account data is retained for the duration of the Account plus 7 years as required by Dutch financial law.
The User is responsible for the content and legality of any information they process via the Service.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Dutch law, BeeSensible is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the Service. This includes damage resulting from detection errors, temporary unavailability of the Service, loss of data, or decisions the User makes based on the Service's output.
This limitation does not apply in the event of intent or willful recklessness by BeeSensible.
11. Duration and Termination
This agreement applies for an indefinite period.
The User may terminate the agreement at any time by deleting their Account via the settings.
BeeSensible may terminate or suspend the agreement at any time, for example in the case of misuse or the discontinuation of the free service. After termination, access to the Account is blocked and the User's account data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
12. Modification of the Terms
BeeSensible may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, BeeSensible will notify the User by email or a notification in the Service. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If a User does not agree with a change, they must stop using the Service and delete their Account.
13. Applicable Law and Disputes
13.1. These terms are governed by Dutch law.
13.2. All disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where BeeSensible is located. The User has the right, within one month after BeeSensible has invoked this clause in writing, to opt for the court that is competent under applicable law.
14. Contact
