Review detections and replace, mask, or delete

How the popup and side panel work, and how to choose between actions.

Every detection lists its category, severity, and a one-click action.

Use the popup or side panel to review what BeeSensible found. Click the BeeSensible icon in the toolbar to open detections.

What is in the list

Each detection shows:

  • the data type, such as email address, name, or financial data;
  • a short preview of the value;
  • the detection level;
  • actions to replace, mask, or delete the value.

Replace

Replace turns the real value into a fictional but realistic-looking value. Use it when the structure of your text should stay intact, but the real data should not be shared.

Mask

Mask replaces the value with a category placeholder, such as [EMAIL] or [PERSON_NAME]. This is useful for prompts where the model needs to understand what kind of information was there without seeing the real value.

Delete

Delete removes the value from your text. Check afterward that the sentence still reads correctly.

Apply to all

You can apply an action to all occurrences of the same value. This is useful when the same name, email, or code appears multiple times.

Send without action

Sending is not blocked. If you reviewed the detections and it is fine to share them in this context, close the panel and send the message as normal.
