Apps and websites

How apps get their detection profile, and which apps and websites BeeSensible covers.

Where this profile applies

Pick the apps that should use this profile. Any app you don't assign keeps using the Default profile.

Inside a profile, "Where this profile applies" picks the apps that use it. Unassigned apps keep the Default profile.

Every app your team uses gets a detection profile. There is no separate apps screen to manage: you assign apps inside the profile itself, under Where this profile applies. Any app you do not assign keeps using the Default profile, so nothing is ever uncovered.

Assigning apps to a profile

  1. Open Detection Profiles and open (or create) a profile.
  2. Under Where this profile applies, search and tick the apps that should use it.
  3. If an app is currently on another profile, you see it marked as moving from that profile.
  4. Save. Everything you did not tick simply stays on the Default profile.

This is how you tune detection per application: an AI tool can use a stricter profile than an internal email environment, for example.

Limit detection

To limit detection for an app, assign it a profile where the relevant entity types are disabled or set to Standard instead of Critical.
