Apps and websites shows which detection profile is bound to each application.

BeeSensible runs only on pages that match an entry in your monitored list. On every other page, the extension is silent: no scanning, no highlighting, no logging. That is intentional. It keeps monitoring targeted and auditable.

The list is managed under Apps & Websites in the admin dashboard.

Default list

Every workspace ships with a BeeSensible-managed list that covers common AI tools and productivity apps. You can enable or disable entries and choose the detection profile per app. Custom apps cannot be added from the dashboard.

Monitoring and logging

Each entry has two toggles:

  • Monitoring: the extension scans text on matching pages and highlights sensitive data.
  • Logging: detection events are recorded in the analytics dashboard. A detection event contains category, severity, app, and the user action. Never the text itself.

You can run monitoring without logging. You cannot run logging without monitoring.

Disabling temporarily

To pause an entry without removing it (for example, during a maintenance window), use the Active toggle. The entry keeps its configuration and historical data. A single click brings it back.

Documenting your list

List the monitored apps you enable in your Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and reference them in your employee privacy notice. Template language is in the compliance documentation, available on request.
